Bayern München are set to extend Thomas Müller's contract, according to multiple reports.

According to Bild, Müller will extend his current deal by two years, committing himself to the German champions until 2025.

Bild's report is backed up by Sky Germany, who reports that Bayern are "close" to extending Müller's deal until 2025 and that his contract extension will "probably" be officially announced this week.

"We are in good talks," Müller confirmed on Sunday after Bayern's 3-0 win over Arminia Bielefeld.

"Both sides are keen [to reach an agreement]. I think a solution will be found in the end."

Bayern president Herbert Hainer has also expressed optimism about agreeing a new deal with the 32-year-old.

"There are advanced talks, and I think we can announce something soon," Hainer said in a recent interview with Bild.
