Report: Frankfurt put Hinteregger up for sale amid Napoli interest

SSC Napoli have inquired about Eintracht Frankfurt's Martin Hinteregger, according to Sport Bild, who claims the Bundesliga side are ready to offload the 29-year-old.
Eintracht Frankfurt are reported to be keen on offloading Martin Hinteregger in the summer.

According to Sport Bild, 'Die Adler' have put Hinteregger up for sale, with SSC Napoli said to have inquired about the 29-year-old centre-back.

Per the report, Frankfurt are willing to let Hinteregger go for around €9 million – the same fee they paid to sign him from Augsburg in 2019.

The 29-year-old is on €2,5 million per season, and Frankfurt are keen to get him off their books.

Coping with his departure would be no problem for Frankfurt, as the club have already confirmed the signing of Jerome Onguene from RB Salzburg and are expected to seal a deal for HNK Rijeka's Hrvoje Smolčić as well.

But while Frankfurt are ready to sell Hinteregger, who is under contract until 2024, the defender would prefer to stay at the club and has ruled out a move within the Bundesliga, per Sport Bild.
