Sport Bild reports that RB Leipzig are keen to extend the contract of head coach Domenico Tedesco, which expires in 2023.

Per the German magazine, club CEO Oliver Mintzlaff has let Tedesco know that he wants him to stay more long term. However, negotiations will not take place until after the season.

"We are in a good and regular exchange and will talk about the new season and future after the season. Now the focus of everyone involved is fully on achieving our goals," said Mintzlaff.

Tedesco was appointed RB Leipzig coach in December, replacing Jesse Marsch. Since the former Schalke coach took over, 'Die Roten Bullen' have climbed to fourth in the Bundesliga table and have advanced to the Europa League semi-finals as well as the DFB-Pokal final.
