Tyler Adams: "We had to dig deep"
RB Leipzig had to work hard for their win against Rangers, said Tyler Adams after the game.
Tyler Adams admitted RB Leipzig "had to dig deep" against Rangers in the first Europa League semi-final tie between the two clubs last night.
Rangers made life difficult for Adams and his teammates, but Leipzig ultimately secured a 1-0 win thanks to Angelino's late winner.
"It was one of those games where we had to dig deep. They had a clear game plan and made life hard, but we got the result we wanted. It was a wonderful goal from Angeliño," Adams told UEFA.com after the game.
"We know it's only half-time in the tie and we need to maintain our focus and performance for the return leg. We’ve been to a few cup finals before, but getting to a European cup final would be something special," he added.
