Bayern linked with Sadio Mané

Sport1 claims FC Bayern have targeted Sadio Mané, but Bild has been quick to shoot down the report.
Bayern München are looking into the possibility of signing Liverpool star Sadio Mané, according to Sky Germany.

Per the German media outlet, Bayern board member for sport Hasan Salihamidzic held talks with Mané's agent, Björn Bezemer, over the weekend, but are yet to approach Liverpool over a possible deal.

The 30-year-old Senegalese winger is out of contract in the summer of 2023, with negotiations between the winger and Liverpool reportedly proving to be difficult.

Should Bayern succeed in bringing the 30-year-old to Allianz Arena, he could replace Serge Gnabry, who is in a similar situation to Mané. The German international's deal expires in 2023, and his contract talks with Bayern have stalled.

However, Sport1's report has been contradicted by Bild, with the German tabloid's head of football, Christian Falk, insisting that Bayern are not working on a deal for Mané.

According to Falk, Salihamidzic did meet with Bezemer of Mané's agency, ROOF, last week, but they didn't talk about the 30-year-old Liverpool winger.
