Schalke boss: Tedesco's job is not up for discussion
Schalke 04 have lost seven of their first 11 Bundesliga games this season, but head coach Domenico Tedesco's job is not in question, says sporting director Christian Heidel.

After Sunday's 0-3 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt - Schalke's seventh Bundesliga defeat of the season - 'The Royal Blues' are just sitting 14th in the table.
Still, Domenico Tedesco's position as head coach hasn't been up for discussion at any point this season, says Schalke sporting director Christian Heidel - not even after the Gelsenkirchen side lost their first five games of the season.
"For us, it wasn't even up for discussion after the fifth defeat. There is no better coach for Schalke than him," Heidel said according to Kicker and continued:
"You only need to back someone who is unsure or down for the count. That's why I never put that word in my mouth. Because there has still been any situation where Domenico has given me that feeling. He doesn't need to be backed."
Tedesco, 33, has been coaching Schalke since June 2017 and led the club to a second place finish last season.
