Another publicly divulged automatic purchase clause, that of Hertha BSC and Germany U21 captain Arne Maier on loan at Augsburg, also guaranteed that the Fuggerstädter would retain the players services in the event that Maier helped the club maintain the class via 25 appearances.
According to German tabloid Sport Bild, Hertha collects €5 million on the deal.
Neither clause has been a secret, but the clubs have still yet to announce the deals formerly with media posts. This should only be a matter of time.
