Report: Gündogan set to leave Manchester City

Daily Mail claims that Germany midfielder Ilkay Gündogan has been told he's free to leave Manchester City.
Germany midfielder Ilkay Gündogan is set to leave Manchester City this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

With just one year left on his contract, the 31-year-old has reportedly been told that he's free to find a new club.

Daily Mail further claims that Gündogan took at private jet to Madrid yesterday morning, igniting speculation that the German midfielder could join Real Madrid, who showed interest in him during his time at Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester City paid €27 million to sign Gündogan from Dortmund in 2016. Since then, the midfielder has made 252 appearances for 'The Citizens' with 47 goals and 33 assists to his name.
