Borussia Mönchengladbach's in-form striker Alassane Pléa has been picked for the French national team for the first time in his career.
After picking up an injury, Manchester United's Anthony Martial was supposed to be replaced by Alexandre Lacazette, but as the Arsenal striker has also had to pass along the opportunity due to injury, Pléa has now been given the nod.
Pléa, who bagged a hattrick against Werder Bremen on Saturday, has been on fire this season and has scored 11 goals in 12 appearances for Gladbach in total.
In their upcoming fixtures, Pléa and France will be up against the Netherlands on November 16 and Uruguay on November 20.
