De Guzman explains the difference between playing under Kovac and Hütter

Jonathan de Guzman admits Adi Hütter's philosophy at Eintracht Frankfurt 'definitely' fits him better than Niko Kovac's.
Eintracht Frankfurt's Jonathan de Guzman has explained how Adi Hütter's playing style differs from Niko Kovac's.

Kovac, who left Frankfurt to join Bayern München before this season, enjoyed great success with a defensive philosophy based on hard work and a special winning mentality.

Hütter has a more offensive approach, and de Guzman says Frankfurt's current playing style 'definitely' suits him better.

"Under this coach, we also run a lot, but we are a bit more aggressive and play more attacking football. The more aggressive you are, the more goals you score. We defend higher instead of waiting - that's a big difference to how it was under Kovac," the midfielder told Kicker and added:

"The team spirit is incredible. We are on the way to becoming a great team. Everyone is pleased and happy."

Eintracht Frankfurt are currently in fourth place and have won eight of their last nine games in all competitions.
