Bayern boss: Sancho rejected an offer from us

Bayern München sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic reveals the Bavarians tried to sign Jadon Sancho, but he opted for a move to Borussia Dortmund instead.
Last month, Bild reported that Bayern München considered Jadon Sancho last year, but didn't intensify their efforts because they weren't completely convinced by the youngster.

But that's not true according to Bayern München sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic who says the Bavarians made the Dortmund starlet an offer while he played for Manchester City.

"If a source told you that, you should break off contact with that source," Salihamidzic told Sport Bild and went on:

"The truth is that FC Bayern München really wanted to sign Sancho and therefore made him an offer that he unfortunately didn't accept."

So why did Sancho choose to join Dortmund instead? The young winger explains:

"I chose BVB because the club showed me a great perspective. If you decide to make a switch, you have to know which way you want to go and where you see your future - I saw mine in Dortmund. BVB tried hard to get me at an early stage which made me feel good."

Sancho, 18, has scored five goals and made eight assists in 17 appearances for Dortmund this season.
