Nübel to leave Schalke next summer?

Germany under-21 keeper Alexander Nübel says he considers leaving Schalke 04 next summer - preferably on loan, but he won't rule out leaving on a permanent deal.
Alexander Nübel delivered some promising performances for Schalke 04 while Ralf Fährmann was out with an injury. However, Fährmann is now back between the sticks which means Nübel has to settle for the bench.

Nübel, Germany's under-21 keeper, made six appearances for Schalke while Fährmann was sidelined, and his appetite has been whetted for more first team action.

He is aware that he may have to find another club to gain more first team experience, though - and a summer move could therefore be on the cards.

"If I'm offered a chance of playing or to take part in an open competition somewhere else, I'll listen, consider it and discuss it with Schalke," Nübel told Kicker and went on:

"It would be a good thing for the club if I can play regularly on loan at a high level elsewhere."

While Nübel prefers a loan move, he doesn't want to rule out that he could leave 'The Royal Blues' on a permanent deal.

"Nothing is excluded," he said.
