Report: PSG play poker with Frankfurt bid for midfielder
According to PSG correspondent for Goal.com, Eintracht Frankfurt have seen an initial bid for a central midfield prospect rejected.
French journalist Marc Mechenoua (PSG correspondent from Goal) reports that Eintracht Frankfurt's interest in 21-year-old central midfielder Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe has manifested itself in the form of a concrete offer. The €5-million-valued player--also linked with SC Freiburg is, according to Mechenoua, worth at least double that to the Parisian Ligue 1 Champions.
The Stains-native netted six tallies and chipped in another five assists for three Ligue 1 and 2 clubs over the course of three seasons. It might still be possible for Eintracht to come to terms with PSG on a loan arrangement (the youngster has already been loaned out twice by his parent club), a performance-incentive transfer fee, or possibly a deal with either a resale or buyback clause.
PSG will likely still be interested in doing something with their prospect in the final year of his current contract. Ebimbe has been linked with a move to Leverkusen that evidently fell through last winter, as per France's RMC Sport.
Francfort a proposé 5 millions d’euros au PSG pour Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe. Offre refusée par Paris qui attend près du double pour son milieu de terrain sous contrat jusqu’en 2023. Le club allemand devrait revenir à la charge. #Mercato @GoalFrance
