Report: Dortmund to leave Schulz out of training camp squad amid exit links

Borussia Dortmund are putting pressure on Nico Schulz to leave the club.
Nico Schulz will apparently not be traveling to Borussia Dortmund's training camp in Bad Ragaz on Friday.

According to Ruhr Nachrichten, the left-back will stay at home, as he has no future at the club.

The 29-year-old, who has two years left on his contract, will have to keep fit individually or with the U23 squad instead.

"Nico knows his situation," Dortmund coach Edin Terzic said on Monday.

Schulz's agent, Roger Wittmann, revealed last month that his client had attracted interest from other clubs, but also stated that the defender will only leave if it's the right fit.

"Nico has not played, is dissatisfied with himself, is looking for a new sporting challenge, is very open to a transfer. That's how it is when it doesn't fit, when you don't appreciate each other anymore," said Wittmann.

"He will not change just for the sake of it. He will join a good club, and if that's not possible, then he'll just stay."
