Wolfsburg sign teenage striker from Augsburg

German youth international Dzenan Pejcinovic has left Augsburg to join Wolfsburg.
VfL Wolfsburg have announced the signing of 17-year-old forward Dzenan Pejcinovic from FC Augsburg.

Pejcinovic, who played for Augsburg's youth team last year, has been given a professional contract until 2027 with ' Die Wölfe'.

Wolfsburg sporting director Marcel Schäfer commented:

"We're pleased we could convince Dzenan about our pathway and our philosophy. He has many of the attributes needed to be able to assert himself in the Bundesliga and is already pretty advanced in terms of his footballing development, despite his young age.

"He has good technique, can read the game well, can score goals and is also a proper team player. Now it’s a matter of gradually introducing him to the demands of the Bundesliga and giving him the time he needs to develop at this high level."

The 17-year-old has scored an impressive 15 goals in 16 games for Germany's U17 national team.
