Piszczek wondergoal earns Dortmund narrow win

Borussia Dortmund beat Mainz 2-1 to take their third Bundesliga win in a row thanks to a beautiful goal by Lukasz Piszczek. Elsewhere, Bayern München had to settle for a draw against Fortuna Düsseldorf.

Paco Alcacer scored the opening goal for Dortmund after 67 minutes, three minutes after he replaced Mario Götze. Marco Reus squared the ball across to the Spanish forward who sent the ball into the net to celebrate his permanent deal with Dortmund that was announced on Friday.
Three minutes later, Robin Quaison got a got ball for Mainz, but Lukasz Piszczek made sure Dortmund took the win as he squeezed the ball into the top corner with a well-placed finish from distance after 76 minutes.
Meanwhile, Bayern München were held to a 3-3 draw by Fortuna Düsseldorf at the Allianz Arena. The Bavarians were leading 3-1, but Dodi Lukebakio spoiled their party and grabbed a hattrick with a goal deep into injury time. The result means Dortmund are now nine points ahead of Bayern.
Hertha BSC and Hoffenheim also drew 3-3, Eintracht Frankfurt won 3-1 against FC Augsburg while Wolfsburg took a narrow 1-0 win over RB Leipzig.
