Fantasy Bundesliga tips:
10 players to consider for Matchday 3

By Rune Gjerulff   @runegjerulff

Here are 10 players you should consider bringing into your Fantasy Bundesliga team for Matchday 3.
In this Fantasy Bundesliga article, we will not be focusing on the most obvious picks such as Alphonso Davies, Christopher Nkunku and Sadio Mané.

Instead, we will highlight players with a maximum ownership percentage of 15%, who could offer great value as differentials for Matchday 3.

Jonas Hector, FC Köln (Defender, 9.6M, 9%)
Hector has been a bit of an unsung Fantasy Bundesliga hero in the early stages of the new season, having picked up 26 points – the second most for a defender behind Benjamin Pavard – with 10 of them coming from won duels. The fact that he scored nine points in last week's 2-2 draw with RB Leipzig shows that he can do well even when Köln concede multiple goals and face tough opposition.

Ramy Bensebaini, Gladbach (Defender, 11.3M, 6%)
With in-form Gladbach taking on crisis-hit Hertha at home in a stand-alone fixture on Friday evening, Bensebaini looks like one of the best options in defence this week. The Algerian left-back is a proven Fantasy asset, takes penalties for Gladbach and has already found the net twice in three games in all competitions this season. If you can't afford him and want a Gladbach defender, right-back Joe Scally (7M) offers a cheaper way into their defence.

Benjamin Pavard, Bayern (Defender, 11.6M, 11%)
With an ownership percentage of 34, Alphonso Davies is by far the most popular Bayern defender in the game, but the Canadian road runner has actually been outscored by fellow full-back Benjamin Pavard in each of the first two matches this season. In fact, Pavard is currently the best-producing defender and third-highest scoring player in the game with 32 points to his name.

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Dortmund (Midfielder, 1M, 11%)
After turning 18 at the beginning of last week, Bynoe-Gittens came on to help Dortmund turn a threatening defeat into a 3-1 win against Freiburg, scoring the equaliser and providing a bit of spark up front for 'Die Schwarzgelben'. Bynoe-Gittens has a realistic chance of starting at home against Werder this week. Available at the lowest possible price, he seems worth taking a gamble on. You can't really go wrong with the teenage winger at that price, and even if he starts on the bench, he can come on and do well.

Fredrik Jensen, Augsburg (Midfielder, 4.2M, 0%)
You have to love an out-of-position player as a Fantasy manager, and Jensen is exactly that. Despite being a midfielder in the game, he started up front against Bayer Leverkusen, and after scoring in Augsburg's sensational 2-1 win, he should be nailed to to start up top against a Mainz side that 'Die Fuggerstädter' have beaten in six of their last seven encounters.

Jonas Hofmann, Gladbach (Midfielder, 14.3M, 13%)
Hofmann was among our suggestions last week, and the German international went on to make an impact for Gladbach as so many times before, scoring the 1-1 equaliser in his side's 2-2 draw with Schalke 04. If you don't own him already, the 30-year-old is hard to overlook this week, playing at home against Hertha in the stand-alone fixture on Friday.

Florian Dietz, FC Köln (Striker, 1.5M, 2%)
Few players have offered better value for money than Florian Dietz so far, with the tall striker sitting at 21 points after the first two games. Having been called upon to replace Anthony Modeste up front, Dietz scored his first Bundesliga goal against RB Leipzig last week.

Michael Gregoritsch, Freiburg (Striker, 7.7M, 4%)
With two goals and 28 Fantasy Bundesliga points to his name so far, Gregoritsch has hit the ground running at Freiburg following his move from Augsburg. He should have a good chance of adding to his goal tally with Freiburg facing Stuttgart and Bochum in their next two.

Marcus Thuram, Gladbach (Striker, 10.7M, 7%)
Those who didn't own Thuram last week fell down the rankings, when the French striker stepped up his game in the second half against Schalke and ended up with 18 points after assisting and scoring. With the form Thuram is in, it would be brave to head into Matchday 3 without him, and he should be worth picking up for this week alone even if you don't want to own him against Bayern next week.

Lukas Nmecha, Wolfsburg (Striker, 11.3M, 1%)
Owned by just 1 percent of the Fantasy Bundesliga managers, Nmecha offers great differential value. The 23-year-old forward scored his first goal of the season against Werder Bremen on Matchday 1, and after a tough game against Bayern last week, he should have a good chance of getting back on the scoresheet at home against a Schalke side, who have conceded five goals in their first two league games.
