According to Portuguese publication Record, the Bundesliga outfit are showing serious interest in the 21-year-old.
Despite impressing for Benfica's reserves, Embalo is yet to be handed his first senior appearance, and that is said to be a growing concern for him.
Embalo is also being linked with a move to Turkey, but the player would prefer a move to Germany, per Record.
