RB Leipzig

Leipzig are still searching for their first win of the season after collecting two points from their opening three league games.

The season began with a 5-3 defeat to Bayern Munich in the German Super Cup before they draw 1-1 with Stuttgart on the opening weekend of the Bundesliga season.

Leipzig would have been hopeful of claiming their first victory of the season when they took the lead on two occasions against FC Köln. Goals from Timo Werner and Christopher Nkunku gave Leipzig a 2-1 lead, but an own goal from Joško Gvardiol ensured the spoils were shared.

They were unable to claim their first win of the season last weekend, with a Willi Orbán goal not enough to prevent Leipzig from falling to a 2-1 defeat to Union Berlin.

Although Leipzig have scored in every game, their inability to keep a clean sheet has prevented them from clinching a win this season.

While they look to claim their first clean sheet of the season on Saturday, Leipzig will also be aiming to find the net for a tenth consecutive Bundesliga game.

Dominik Szoboszlai is suspended for the hosts, while Alexander Sörloth, Lukas Klostermann and Yussuf Poulsen are all expected to miss out due to injury issues.

Wolfsburg

Like their opponents, Wolfsburg are also winless in the league this season, although they did record a victory in the DFB-Pokal against Carl Zeiss Jena.

After drawing 2-2 with newly-promoted Werder Bremen to begin the new Bundesliga campaign, Wolfsburg suffered their first defeat of the season on matchday two, losing 2-0 to Bayern Munich.

They faced another newly-promoted side last weekend, playing host to Schalke, but a goalless draw ensured Niko Kovač's wait for a win as Wolfsburg boss goes on.

Having failed to find the net in their last two matches, Wolfsburg need an improvement in the final third if they are to clinch their first win of the Bundesliga season this weekend.

However, with only one win in their last seven away league games, Wolfsburg may be content with a point from Saturday's contest, especially as they have won only one of their previous 10 meetings with Leipzig in all competitions.

Yannick Gerhardt and Kilian Fischer are expected to miss out with calf and knee injuries, while Patrick Wimmer and Jonas Wind are also sidelined.
