Report: Hazard is unlikely to join Borussia Dortmund
Thorgan Hazard is said to be unlikely to join Borussia Dortmund. The winger is considering a contract extension with Gladbach, and if he decides to leave, he would prefer a move to Spain.
Borussia Mönchengladbach star Thorgan Hazard has been linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund, but according to Bild, the Belgium international is unlikely to join the 'die Schwarzgelben'.
Instead, a contract extension with Gladbach could be on the cards. Hazard's main requirement is said to be participation in the Champions League, and at the moment, 'Die Fohlen' are on course to qualify for the prestigious tournament, sitting second in the Bundesliga table with 26 points after 12 games.
Should Hazard, whose contract runs out in 2020, decide to join a new club, he would prefer a move to the Spanish La Liga according to Bild. Atlético Madrid are said to be particularly interested in the 25-year-old.
Thorgan Hazard has been in fine form this season, scoring eight goals and making five assists in 12 Bundesliga appearances.
