After Bayern München's 5-1 win over Benfica in midweek, stars such as Robert Lewandowski and Arjen Robben publicly said that they stand behind Niko Kovac. But, apparently, not all Bayern players support the much-criticized coach.
According to Kicker, Mats Hummels, Sandro Wagner and James Rodriguez are all internally regarded as "dissatisfied and in opposition to the coach".
Sandro Wagner doesn't understand why he hasn't played more under Kovac. The same goes for James Rodriguez who is currently sidelined with an injury.
Hummels and Kovac has had a strained relationship since it was made public in the summer that the Bayern coach doubts the German international because of his lack of pace.
Meanwhile, Hummels is also said to have 'lost a lot of credit' among the Bayern bosses, because he insisted on playing in the 2-3 loss to Borussia Dortmund despite being ill and subsequently admitted this in an interview.
