Leipzig confirm loss of Olmo for six weeks
RB Leipzig confirmed on Sunday that the injury sustained by Dani Olmo in Saturday night's loss to Frankfurt will sideline the Spaniard for six weeks or more.
The bad news piles up for the German Red Bulls following Saturday night's defeat. On Sunday, the Saxons confirmed that attacker Dani Olmo had suffered a partial ligament rupture and will be unavailable for at least six weeks. The nature of the injury may keep the Spaniard out even longer, possibly through the World Cup break.
Olmo featured in Domenico Tedesco's starting XI in all five league games this season, registering two assists amid many fine performances. The 24-year-old's presumed replacement as the de-facto ten is Emil Forsberg, who will at least get the playing time he and his agent have been angling for over the next couple of months.
