Guilavogui: "Yes, we are in danger"

Speaking with 'kicker', Josuha Guilavogui discussed Wolfsburg's difficult start in league play and his belief in coach Niko Kovac.
After returning from his loan with Bordeaux, it was not clear whether former Wolfsburg captain Josuha Guilavogui could regain any sort of role in the team. But now, the 32-year-old is once again an important piece to the company club that are trying to stave off a relegation battle.

In an interview with 'kicker', Guilavogui spoke about Wolfsburg's abysmal start and tried to slow down talks of another early managerial sacking:

"We have to be warned and know: Yes, we are in danger."

"We have to stop. Mark van Bommel was allegedly not good enough and is now successful in Belgium. Florian Kohfeldt had to leave again. Now Niko Kovac should also leave? We players have a responsibility to make things go better again."

After Niko Kovac implied he and his brother, assistant coach Robert Kovac, should play to help the team, Guilavogui responded that, "I think he wants to take our honor with that. He knows we're all in the same boat. I don't think he meant to insult the team."
