Hummels critical of BVB after draw with Sevilla

Center-back Mats Hummels discussed Dortmund's loss to Sevilla and how he believes they could've played better to capture three important points.
Even with yet another Champions League goal from Jude Bellingham, BVB couldn't find a way to grab a second to secure their spot in the knockout round. Speaking to Amazon Prime following the match, veteran Mats Hummels was critical of his team:

"Everything (went wrong) except from the 25th to 45th minute. We only started to press after the 0-1 lead, giving Sevilla a lot of easy turnovers and then we were dominant. We definitely had 20 turnovers, completely unnecessarily, and always played in tight spaces instead of letting ourselves run."

The 33-year-old said it's better to "always do the right thing" and added that, "It has to get out of some people's heads that successful football is always sexy and heel, tip, one, two, three at five meters."

Hummels finally gave his thoughts on 19-year-old Bellingham, who isn't afraid to confront his fellow teammates on the pitch:

"He's not perfect yet, logically, that would be frightening, but he's getting better and is already very far. I prefer a guy who complains five times and accelerates for 90 minutes than someone who is silent for 90 minutes and accelerates less."
