Ducksch makes the case for Füllkrug's World Cup hopes

Marvin Ducksch waxed lyricals about teammate and strike-partner Niclas Füllkrug, who is hoping to be a part of Germany's squad in Qatar after his superb start to the season.
The relationship between Marvin Ducksch and Niclas Füllkrug hasn't always been harmonious at Werder Bremen, but they couldn't be in better form at the moment. Newly-promoted 5th place Werder owe a lot of credit to this attacking pair, who have combined for ten goals and five assists through nine games.

Füllkrug is the Bundesliga's current top goal-scorer and speaking with 'kicker', Ducksch stated his case for why the veteran striker deserves to make Hansi Flick's squad in November:

"Achievements should also be rewarded and he has not shown them for two or three weeks, but for over a year."

Ducksch added that, "He is a clear target player, is strong in the air, can use both feet - in training I sometimes have the feeling that he's better with his left than his right. He's got good technique, a good eye, he can pick out the ball. He's just a complete player."

Füllkrug has previously praised Ducksch and said that, "I've never been so well-rehearsed with another striker." Ducksch displayed similar feelings to complete this 'bromance': "He is definitely the best partner I've had."
