Favre to extend his contract with Dortmund?
Borussia Dortmund are reportedly hoping to extend head coach Lucien Favre's contract which runs out in 2020.
Back in May, Lucien Favre was appointed head coach of Borussia Dortmund on a contract that runs until 2020. Now, the club want to tie the Swiss coach down to a new long-term deal, Ruhr Nachrichten reports.
According to the German media outlet, both parties are willing to extend Favre's current deal. However, with a contract that runs for another one and a half year, there's no intention to rush anything.
Instead, Favre and the BVB bosses are likely to sit down and discuss a possible extension during the spring of 2019.
The 61-year-old coach has been an instant succes at Dortmund who are seven points clear at the top of the Bundesliga.
