Marko Grujic has been among Hertha BSC's best players in recent weeks, but he will not be able to continue his impressive form in the coming weeks.
The Liverpool loanee picked up an ankle ligament injury during Tuesday's training and has thus been ruled out for the rest of the year, the club have announced.
Grujic, 22, had just fought his way back from a capsular rupture in the ankle and scored his first goal for the club in the 1-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt last week.
The Serbian international has made seven appearances for Hertha until now.
