Hoeness praises Salihamidzic for his directness
Bayern München president Uli Hoeness has lauded praise on sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic for his straightforward criticism of the team's performance in the 3-3 draw with Ajax.
Bayern München sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic didn't mince his words in his criticism of the team's performance in the 3-3 draw with Ajax on Wednesday.
"We didn't play well today. The only positive thing is that we're top of the group," Salihamidzic said among other things.
Now, Salihamidzic is praised for his straightforwardness by club president Uli Hoeness who likes that the Bayern sporting director didn't sugarcoat things.
"Obviously, I like that particularly much," Hoeness told Bild.
"He now has the courage to really go forward very offensively," the Bayern boss said.
It's probably no coincidence that Salihamidzic expressed himself so bluntly after the Ajax game. According to Bild, the 41-year-old has recently been encouraged to be more direct and straightforward publicly.
