Rolfes confirms Leverkusen are considering signing a new goalkeeper

Bayer Leverkusen managing director for sport Simon Rolfes has confirmed that 'Die Werkself' are considering signing a new goalkeeper.
Bayer Leverkusen are looking for a new goalkeeper, with second-choice gloveman Andrey Lunev's contract set to expire at the end of the season.

"It is clear that we are taking a look around, as Andrey Lunev's contract is expiring," Bayer Leverkusen managing director for sport Simon Rolfes told Kicker.

Most likely, Leverkusen are not just looking for a back-up, but for a player who can give current number one Lukas Hradecky more competition.

Sky Germany recently claimed that Leverkusen are keeping tabs on Philipp Köhn from RB Salzburg. According to Kicker, however, the 24-year-old would only consider a move if he would be the clear number one at his new club.

24-year-old Bosnian goalkeeper Vladan Kovacevic, who plays for Polish outfit Rakow Czestochowa, is is also being observed by 'Die Werkself', per Kicker.
