Niclas Füllkrug says Germany's disappointing World Cup group stage exit is "extremely difficult to digest".
"We didn't fail to get through from the group stage because of today. We had a lot of problems against Japan. That was the decisive game," said the Germany forward.
"It hurts a lot and is extremely difficult to digest. It will take a very, very, very long time to digest this."
Füllkrug came on from the bench in all three of Germany's games, scoring two goals.
