Report: Düsseldorf angling for Stuttgart prospect Massimo

Westphalia's Rheinische Post reports that, once their administrative house is put in order, VfB Stuttgart have new plans for loaned-out German youth international Roberto Massimo.
More chatter about potential loan recalls at VfB Stuttgart continue to crop up. Some weeks after it was reported that the Swabians plan to pull the plug on the loan-outs of Matteo Klimowicz and Omer Beyaz, it also appears as if the BaWü club has some other plans for Germany U21 international Roberto Massimo.

The 22-year-old has been unable to get adequate playing time at Académico de Viseu Futebol Clube in Portugal's second footballing division. Massimo has actually scored three goals off the bench for the Portuguese side, but has mostly been used off the bench and often left off the matchday squad. German second division side Fortuna Düsseldorf are reportedly interested in bringing him closer to home.

Any and all rumors regarding Stuttgart will obviously have to wait until club sporting CEO Alexander Wehrle installs what are reported to be a new head-coach and sporting director. The newspaper does report that Düsseldorf are actively lobbying for the youngster. RP reports that the Flingeraner have been in contact with both Stuttgart management and Massimo himself.
