When Chelsea sold Thorgan Hazard to Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2015, 'The Blues' secured themselves an exclusive right to re-sign the winger. However, apparently, the Premier League side have now waived that right.
According to Bild, Borussia Dortmund would only sell Christian Pulisic to Chelsea under the condition that 'The Blues' would give up their right to re-sign Hazard.
Borussia Dortmund hope that this will increase their own chances of signing Hazard who has been linked with a move to the BVB lately. So has Timo Werner, but Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has hinted that he isn't too hopeful when it comes to the RB Leipzig striker.
"I have the impression that at least one of the two players has already made a decision on his future. And it doesn't involve us," Watzke told DPA, most likely referring to Timo Werner who has flirted heavily with Bayern München.
