Dortmund boss gives update on Guerreiro talks

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl has provided an update on the club's ongoing contract talks with Raphael Guerreiro.

However, following a string of impressive performances from the Portugal international in recent weeks, the situation appears to have changed, with Kehl insisting that no decision has yet been made.

"It was written weeks ago that a decision had already been made that Raphael Guerreiro would leave us. That is not the case," Kehl told Kicker.

Kehl added that BVB are "still in talks" with Guerreiro.

"Everything is still open," the 43-year-old stressed, adding: "We have given it some thought.

According to Kicker, a decision could be made as early as next week. Meanwhile, local publication Ruhr Nachrichten reports that the 29-year-old's future will be clarified at the end of the upcoming international break.

Guerreiro has scored two goals and laid on seven assists since the turn of the year. A natural left-back, he has recently impressed as a central midfielder.
