After spending nearly three months on the sidelines with a groin strain, RB Leipzig star Emil Forsberg is nearing a return.
The Swedish international completed a full training session on Saturday without any problems, and after a few days of regeneration, he should be able to return to a full training schedule on Tuesday, RB Leipzig coach Ralf Rangnick says.
"It's good at the moment," Rangnick told Sport.de and added:
"It would be an important step, and that would bring him much further ahead than we thought he would be a week or two ago."
However, Forsberg will definitely not take part in RB Leipzig's first Bundesliga game of 2019 against Borussia Dortmund next week.
"He has been out too long for that," Rangnick underlined.
