Germany vs. Belgium preview: Team news and predicted lineups
Here is our preview of Tuesday's friendly between Germany and Belgium, including the predicted lineups.
Germany will look to build on Saturday's 2-0 win over Peru when they take on Belgium in a friendly at the RheinEnergieStadion in Cologne on Tuesday.
Belgium got off to an ideal start under new coach Domenico Tedesco with a 3-0 win over Sweden, with Romelu Lukaku scoring a hat-trick and Hertha BSC forward Dodi Lukebakio providing two assists.
And if that result is any indication, Belgium will present a different kind of challenge to Peru.
"It's a different caliber of opponent. We're happy to play a team like that. It helps you improve your game," Germany coach Hansi Flick said after the win over Peru.
Flick added that he wasn't planning to make too many changes, but he will have to make changes in at least two positions after Nico Schlotterbeck and Kai Havertz withdrew from the squad with muscle problems and illness, respectively.
Thilo Kehrer is in line replace Schlotterbeck at centre-back, while Serge Gnabry is set to start in place of Havertz in attacking midfield, with one or two other changes likely.
