Dortmund newcomer Balerdi allowed to take part in U-20 tournament

Borussia Dortmund have given newcomer Leonardo Balerdi permission to participate in the 2019 South American U-20 Championship.
After spending a few days in Germany following his move from Boca Juniors to Borussia Dortmund, Leonardo Balerdi will return to South America to take part in the 2019 South American U-20 Championship.

Borussia Dortmund have announced that the Argentinian centre-back has been given permission to travel to Chile to participate in the tournament that will start on Thursday and run until February 10.

Balerdi and Argentina are set to face Paraguay on Sunday in their first match of the tournament.
