Official: Stuttgart unveil record signing

VfB Stuttgart have signed Ozan Kabak from Galatasaray for a reported club record fee.
VfB Stuttgart have announced the signing of Ozan Kabak who joins the club from Galatasaray for a reported club record fee believed to be in the region of €11 million.

Following a medical today, the 18-year-old centre-back signed a contract until 2024 with the Bundesliga club.

"We're delighted that Ozan has chosen VfB despite numerous other offers from well-known European clubs. He has already demonstrated his qualities in the Champions League and has been an important first team regular for Galatasaray this season," Stuttgart sporting director Michael Reschke said, as quoted on the club's website.

After completing the transfer, Ozan Kabak told the club's website that he wants to achieve big goals with his new club.

"I'm very happy that the transfer worked out. I'm looking forward to getting to know my new teammates, the club, the great fans and the amazing atmosphere at home matches at the Mercedes-Benz Arena. I have big goals that I want to achieve in the long term with VfB Stuttgart," the defender explained.

Kabak made 18 appearances for Galatasaray.
