Report: Gladbach identify possible Stindl successor

Rheinische Post reports that Gladbach have identified Moritz-Broni Kwarteng as a possible replacement for outgoing captain Lars Stindl.
Magdeburg attacker Moritz-Broni Kwarteng is said to be on Borussia Mönchengladbach's radar.

According to Rheinische Post, the 25-year-old is a possible replacement for captain Lars Stindl, who is set to join Karlsruher SC on a free transfer this summer.

Capable of playing as an attacking midfielder or on either wing, Kwarteng is said to have impressed 'Die Fohlen' with his flexibility and goal threat.

It's estimated that the 25-year-old, who has one year left on his current contract, would cost around 1.5 million euros, with Stuttgart and Bochum also said to be interested.

As a youth player, Kwarteng played for RB Leipzig, Hoffenheim and Stuttgart. However, he has spent the majority of his professional career with Hamburger SV, who showed him the door in the summer of 2021.

After almost half a year without a club, he joined Magdeburg in January 2022. Since then, he has scored 13 goals and provided 10 assists in 42 games for the 2. Bundesliga side.
