Salomon Kalou owes Hertha teammate Ondrej Duda a Rolex watch after losing a bet

By scoring on Sunday, Ondrej Duda won a bet with Salomon Kalou who now owes him a Rolex watch.
Before the start of the season, Hertha BSC's Salomon Kalou challenged teammate Ondrej Duda to a bet.

Kalou wanted to motivate Duda to score more goals, so he promised he would give the 24-year-old a Rolex watch if he would go on to score eight goals during this season.

And on Sunday, Duda won the bet as he scored a brace in Hertha's 3-1 win over FC Nürnberg, taking his goal tally this season to nine.

"I challenged him to score eight goals. Now, he has scored nine - that's one too many. Bad luck for Ondrej! Nah, a deal is a deal, so he'll get one," Kalou told Bild with a smile.

Duda, meanwhile, said he isn't interested in the prize.

"I don't need a Rolex. I'll give it away or donate the money. Salomon spurred me on with the bet. It's nice that I've scored so many goals and helped the team," Duda said.

Hertha are sitting seventh in the Bundesliga after the win on Sunday.
