After dropping two points against Bochum, Edin Terzic’s side returned to winning ways in emphatic fashion when they welcome Wolfsburg to Signal Iduna Park last weekend. Karim Adeyemi and Jude Bellingham grabbed two goals each, while Sébastien Haller and Donyell Malen both got on the scoresheet as Dortmund thrashed Wolfsburg 6-0 to extend their unbeaten run to five matches.

The result also ensured the gap to Bayern remained a just one point with three games left to play in the 2022-23 campaign. Dortmund know that the title race is out of their hands, but they must be ready to capitalise on any slip-ups from Thomas Tuchel’s side.

Die Schwarzgelben will be targeting maximum points in their final three matches against Gladbach, Augsburg and Mainz 05.

Dortmund head into Saturday’s encounter off the back of 10 consecutive home victories in the Bundesliga. They have also won their last nine home meetings against Gladbach, including a comfortable 6-0 win at Signal Iduna Park last season.

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens is set to undergo shoulder surgery, and as a result, he has been ruled out for the rest of the season. Dortmund are also unable to call upon Soumaïla Coulibaly, Thomas Meunier, Julien Duranville and Mateu Morey.

Gladbach

Gladbach bounced back from consecutive defeats against Union Berlin and Stuttgart to record a 2-0 home win over relegation-threatened Bochum last time out. Jonas Hofmann’s first-half effort gave Gladbach the lead before Lars Stindl struck in the 91st minute to wrap up all three points.

Although they have little to play, 11th-placed Gladbach will want to round off the 2022-23 campaign with a positive run of results against Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and Augsburg.

However, Gladbach may find it difficult to trouble Dortmund on Saturday due to their struggles on the road. Die Fohlen have won just one of their 15 away league games this season, and they are currently winless in six Bundesliga matches on their travels, scoring just three goals in that period.
Team News

Yvandro Borges Sanches and Marcus Thuram are ruled out through injury, while Nico Elvedi and Manu Koné are both rated doubtful. As for Alassane Plea, he will serve a one-match suspension for an accumulation of yellow cards.
