Report: Ajax want Bayern starlet to replace Frenkie de Jong
Ajax want to sign Bayern München youngster Meritan Shabani as a replacement for Frenkie de Jong and hope to strike a deal within the next few days.
Ajax want to complete the signing of Bayern München starlet Meritan Shabani within the next few days, according to Kicker (via Sport.de).
Apparently, Ajax hope that Shabani will be able to replace Frenkie de Jong who will complete a move to FC Barcelona in the summer.
Shabani, who was already linked with Ajax by Bild at the beginning of January, has made one Bundesliga appearance for Bayern this season, but has mainly played for the reserves, scoring six goals in 15 appearances.
Bayern have previously sent youngsters Adrian Fein and Franck Evina out on loan this season, but a permanent transfer is said to be in question for Shabani whose contract runs until 2020.
