Official: Frankfurt sign Brazilian youngster
Eintracht Frankfurt have brought in a 19-year-old defender from FC Sao Paulo.
Eintracht Frankfurt have completed the signing of Lucas Silva Melo - also known as 'Tuta' - from FC Sao Paulo.
The 19-year-old, who can play as a central defender and as a right-back, has signed a deal until 2023. He joins Frankfurt for a reported fee of €1,8 million.
"The signing of this player follows our principle of developing young, talented players," Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Fredi Bobic said, as quoted by the club.
"We have been watching him closely for a long time and are convinced of his potential," he added.
Tuta has been playing for Sau Paulo's reserve team.
