The transfer window is closed – so how did the Bundesliga clubs do?

Bild has rated the January transfer business of the Bundesliga clubs.
With the transfer window now closed, the Bundesliga clubs must manage with their current squads until the end of the season. So who pulled off some great deals, and who failed to bring in the players they wanted/needed?

Bild has rated the January transfer business of each club on a scale from 1 (the best grade) to 6 (the worst grade).

You can find all the Bundesliga transfer deals that were made in January here.

Eintracht Frankfurt are the only team who have been awarded a 1. With the signings of Sebastian Rode (Dortmund, loan), Tuta (Sao Paulo), Martin Hinteregger (Augsburg, loan) and Almamy Touré (Monaco), 'Die Adler' did well to improve their squad depth.

League leaders Borussia Dortmund were given a 3 after they signed the young centre-back Leonardo Balerdi from Boca Juniors. On the departure side, Dortmund sold Christian Pulisic to Chelsea and then re-signed him on loan for the rest of the season. They also loaned out a group of reserves such as Sebastian Rode and Shinji Kagawa.

Meanwhile, Bayern München have been handed a 5. The Bavarians had already agreed a deal for the young winger Alphonso Davies, who has joined on loan from Vancouver Whitecaps, but were unable to sign Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odoi and Atlético Madrid's Lucas Hernandez.
