Watzke denies agreement with Nagelsmann over Germany job
DFB vice-president Hans-Joachim Watzke has denied a report suggesting that an agreement has been reached for Julian Nagelsmann to be named the new Germany coach.
German Football Association (DFB) vice-president Hans-Joachim Watzke has denied a Bild report claiming that an agreement has been reached for Julian Nagelsmann to take over as Germany coach until the end of next year's European Championship.
"No decision has been made yet," Watzke, who is also the CEO of Borussia Dortmund, told Amazon Prime.
"The committees haven't even met yet, so no decision has been made.
"Nevertheless, Julian Nagelsmann is a top coach, we don't even have to talk about that."
DFB president Bernd Neuendorf confirmed earlier today that "good talks" are underway between the football association and Nagelsmann.
