The Bavarians bounced back from an embarrassing midweek DFB-Pokal exit at 3. Liga side Saarbrücken with a 4-0 win over Borussia Dortmund.

Manuel Neuer was delighted with the win and the performance, saying that Bayern were highly motivated to bounce back after the loss to Saarbrücken.

"'Der Klassiker' stands for itself. No matter what happens, every player and every fan looks forward to this game," the 37-year-old told Sky Germany.

"We showed our best side today in this top match. We came into the game well right from the start.

"We had the confidence today that we lacked in Saarbrücken," Neuer added.

The win keeps Bayern in second place, two points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen.
