During January's transfer market, Sebastian Rode returned to his former club Eintracht Frankfurt on loan from Borussia Dortmund.
And after a promising start to the second half of the season at Frankfurt, the midfielder hopes that he can join 'Die Adler' on a permanent deal when the season ends.
"It would be nice if, at the end of the day, both sides are positive about the loan deal and would consider letting me stay here," Rode told FAZ and continued:
"I have to prove myself in the coming months in order to convince Eintracht."
Rode didn't make a single appearance for Dortmund during the first half of the season, but he has started in all of Frankfurt's three Bundesliga games in 2019 so far.
