Goretzka gives injury update ahead of Turkey clash
Leon Goretzka has given an update on his fitness ahead of Germany's upcoming match against Turkey.
Leon Goretzka has declared himself fit for Saturday's friendly against Turkey after shaking off a muscle injury to return to training on Wednesday.
However, the Bayern Munich midfielder will still be wearing a splint after undergoing hand surgery in October.
"I feel good. My hand is fine so far. I'm playing with the splint I wore in the league and in the Champions League. It fits well. It's very clunky and a bit annoying, but it's necessary, so that I could get back into action so early," Goretzka told reporters at a press conference on Wednesday.
"It's extremely annoying because I tie my shoes very tightly. I haven't found anyone who does it 100 percent. Jo Kimmich has tried it, as has Thomas Muller. But I hope I'll be able to do it myself soon," he added.
Germany face Turkey in Berlin on Saturday before locking horns with Austria away on Tuesday.
