Finnbogason to leave Augsburg in case of relegation

Alfred Finnbogason admits he'll look to leave to leave Augsburg in the summer if the club get relegated from the Bundesliga.
FC Augsburg striker Alfred Finnbogason has admitted he wants to leave the club this summer in case of relegation.

The 29-year-old, whose current deal runs out in 2020, is adamant to continue playing at the highest level.

"A decision about my future hasn't been made yet. We're not under time pressure," Finnbogason told Sport Bild.

"Bu it's clear to me: I want to continue playing in the first division - there's no question about that," he continued.

This season, Finnbogason has scored 10 goals in 14 Bundesliga appearances for Augsburg who are currently sitting 15th - just above the relegation zone.
