Spanish report claims Real Sociedad hope to acquire Reyna on loan

A report in the Spanish newspaper "Noticias de Gipuzkoa" claims that Giovanni Reyna may be on the move to Real Sociedad. There's talk of a loan arrangement with an option to buy.

Transfermarkt's German base-site reports famous footballing father Claudio feels a change of clubs would be beneficial for his son and might be pushing BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl to loan the youngster out.
Declared "fully fit" yet hampered by his squad's "competitive situation" by BVB trainer Edin Terzic in a press conference yesterday, it looks to be the case that outgoing transfer rumors involving U.S. international Giovanni Reyna will persist throughout the end of the current January transfer window. According to at least one Spanish news source, a move to Spain's Basque country could be in the cards for the American phenom.

Spanish newspaper "Noticias de Gipuzkoa" claims that Real Socieadad are interested in acquiring Reyna on loan with an option to buy. The 21-year-old talent - limited to just 11 competitive appearances and 319 minutes after another unfortunate injury this season - recently switched professional representation. Reyna's family continue to take an active role in his career and feel a change is necessary.

Transfermarkt's German base site reports that Reyna's famous footballing father Claudio has been discussing the matter with BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl. As recently as November, it was reported that Gio himself is averse to a change and wishes to continue to fight for a starting spot at Dortmund. Dortmund's recent reacquisition of Jadon Sancho may naturally re-shift that calculus.
