Zaragoza opens up on Bayern move at official presentation
At his official presentation at Bayern Munich, Bryan Zaragoza opened up about his reasons for coming to Germany, his last-minute winter move and his qualities as a player.
Back in December, Bayern Munich announced the signing of Bryan Zaragoza from Granada ahead of the 2024/25 season.
However, after Kingsley Coman picked up a long-term injury in last week's 3-2 win over Augsburg, Bayern reacted and reached an agreement with Granada to bring the winger to Germany now instead.
"I had no doubts about coming to Munich, even though it hurt to leave Granada," Zaragoza said at his official Bayern presentation on Friday when asked about his last-minute move.
"We had planned for me to come in the summer, but the situation is as it is now. People have to understand that this was a unique opportunity for me. I owe everything to Granada, but I couldn't pass up this great opportunity to come here."
On his goals with Bayern, he said:
"My first goal is to make my debut for FC Bayern and help the team. To learn from the great players and the coach and to win everything possible.
"I want to do everything here. The club and the team are made to win everything. Time will tell."
Zaragoza also described himself as a "street footballer". And when asked to sum up himself as a person in three words, he said:
"Winner, intelligent, humble."
The 22-year-old could make his Bayern debut on Saturday when the German champions welcome Gladbach to the Allianz Arena.
